"Sunrise in Kauai" How would you like to be sitting in those chairs?! This is just off the beach of the Hanalei Colony Resort on the north end of Kaua'i. I was packing up to leave and looked out the window and saw this sunrise breaking! I ran outside and grabbed a few shots before the color was gone.
"Kilauea Lighthouse on Kauai" This is located on Kilauea Point on the island of Kaua'i. There is a national wildlife refuge there. This was a nice afternoon watching the Red-footed boobies flying around and the waves crashing down below. Just another beautiful location on Kauai!
"Late Afternoon along the Na Pali Coast, Kaua'i" This was one of the things I was looking forward to in Kaua'i! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating with rain and gray skies in the forecast. I decided to push back my departure date by 2 days since the forecast was looking better and it paid off!!! (I DO love my wife and ki...ds for being SO understanding!!!) Even that morning it wasn't looking good and in the afternoon the Na Pali coast was perfect!! just a peppering of clouds and sunlight giving those contrasting greens and vibrant blue ocean being lit up by the sun. AHHH! My job was done. 2 hours and a chartered helicopter are the perfect combination! The Nikon D3S was rented from Borrowlenses and I used my Nikon 28-70 f/2.8 lens. This is going to be printed BIG on my wall!
I am back from a week shooting in Hawaii! I was on the Big Island for 2 days (rain!) and on Kauai for 5! Incredible places! Shot sunrise to sunset every day including a Helicopter charter along the Na Pali Coast! Breathtaking! Pictures from the Nikon D3S and 14-24mm lens from BorrowLenses.com are coming!!
